The Mercy Team is the core of our missional and outreach programs, impacting the lives of hundreds of families each year in Flushing and our surrounding communities. This team leads our congregation in serving our community. Our efforts are funded by saving 3.5% of all funds given to the church.
We believes that God has prepared good works in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We know that the journey of following Jesus includes caring for the people he loves so we look for opportunities to motivate one another, individually and corporately, to acts of love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
Some of the projects we participate in include: Filling a box with food for holiday dinners at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, Mobile Food Pantries, back to school supplies for area schools, and so much more.
